NORCET 11 Mains Result 2026: Latest Update
NORCET has two stages. The Prelims only screens you. The Mains decides your rank, and your rank decides where you get posted. The AIIMS NORCET 11 Result 2026 for the Mains has been released as one PDF on aiimsexams.ac.in, and you don’t need to log in to see it.

How to Check NORCET 11 Mains Result 2026
- 1 Open aiimsexams.ac.in.
- 2 Go to Recruitments, then NORCET, then NORCET 11. The Notices page carries it too.
- 3 Click the Stage II (Mains) result link. The NORCET 11 Result PDF will open.
- 4 Press Ctrl+F (on a phone, use “Find in page”) and type your full roll number.
- 5 Note your percentile and rank, then save the PDF somewhere safe. Email a copy to yourself as well.
Your personal NORCET 11 Scorecard 2026 is a separate document. You get it by logging in with your registration ID or roll number and password.
One word of caution. Result PDFs doing the rounds in WhatsApp and Telegram groups are sometimes old or edited, so download yours from the official site. And if your roll number doesn’t show up, type it again slowly before you panic. A partial search can easily match someone else’s number.
NORCET 11 Mains Cut Off 2026
AIIMS released a qualifying cut-off for each category along with the result. These figures are as reported from the result notice, so match them with the official PDF before you rely on them.
| Category | Qualifying cut-off percentage |
| UR / EWS | 50.000% |
| OBC | 45.000% |
| SC / ST | 40.000% |
| UR-PwBD | 45.417% |
| EWS-PwBD | 52.917% |
| OBC-PwBD | 41.042% |
| SC-PwBD | 37.708% |
| ST-PwBD | Nil (as shown in the notice) |
Students often mix up three things here. The cut-off is only the minimum you needed to be listed as qualified. Your percentile is how the PDF shows your performance. Your rank is what actually counts at allotment time. Clearing the NORCET 11 Mains Cut Off 2026 gets you into the allocation process; it doesn’t get you a seat on its own.
OBC has the largest share of qualified candidates at 4,676, followed by SC (2,073), UR (1,842), EWS (1,210) and ST (812).
NORCET 11 Merit List 2026
There is no separate document to hunt for. The result PDF is the NORCET 11 Merit List 2026. It lists qualified candidates by roll number, along with category, PwBD status, percentile and, where shown, rank.
Why does rank matter so much? Allocation works off your rank, the preferences you submit and the seats still available. A better rank simply gives you a better shot at the institutes you want. When two or more candidates end up with the same marks, Careers360 reports that the one with the earlier date of birth is placed higher, and if the tie continues, the one with fewer wrong answers. Check the exact rule in the NORCET 11 prospectus.
For the curious: AIR 1 went to roll number 4162643, an OBC candidate, at 82.917 percentile.
What to Do After NORCET 11 Mains Result 2026
AIIMS will post the official instructions for preference filling and seat allocation on its portal. reports that the final seat position is due on 30 October 2026, with choice filling open from 30 October to 6 November 2026, closing at 5 PM. Until you see these dates in an AIIMS notice, treat them as reported, not confirmed.
The next couple of weeks are worth using well:
- 1 Save everything. Keep the result PDF, your scorecard and admit card in at least two places.
- 2 Read the prospectus again. Each participating institute sets its own conditions. If you don’t meet one, you won’t be considered there, however good your rank.
- 3 Shortlist before the window opens. Once the NORCET 11 Seat Allocation 2026 seat position is out, compare it with your rank. Think about location, family and whether you would genuinely join.
- 4 List only places you’d actually go. Being allotted somewhere you never really wanted is a headache you can avoid.
- 5 Sort your documents now. Usually that means nursing certificates and marksheets, nursing council registration, a category certificate in the prescribed format (OBC-NCL or EWS), a PwBD certificate if it applies, photo ID and photographs. Getting a fresh category certificate can take time, so don’t leave it for the last week. Follow the official checklist once it’s released.
- 6 Keep checking the portal. Allotment results, document verification and joining instructions will all appear there.
Seats are limited compared with the number of qualified candidates, so a careful list beats a long one. To be clear, qualifying doesn’t guarantee allotment or appointment. That depends on your rank, your preferences, the vacancies and verification.
What If You Did Not Qualify NORCET 11?
It stings, and that’s fine. Give yourself a day or two, then treat the result as information rather than a verdict on your nursing career.
Start by noting the subjects where you felt unsure during the paper. For many students it’s two or three areas, often medical-surgical nursing, pharmacology or obstetrics, where a second and slower revision changes a lot. Practise clinical-scenario MCQs, because the Mains checks whether you can apply a concept to a patient, not just recall it. Also look honestly at negative marking: random guessing quietly pulls scores down.
Watch official AIIMS announcements for the next NORCET exam dates. Meanwhile, PGIMER Nursing Officer, ESIC and state staff nurse exams draw on much the same syllabus, so none of your preparation goes to waste.
How to Prepare for Future NORCET Exams
Effort is rarely what’s missing in NORCET preparation. Structure usually is. Get your concepts solid across the core nursing subjects before you chase speed. Then work through previous-year questions topic by topic; you’ll soon notice which areas AIIMS keeps coming back to. Take a full-length timed mock every week or two, and put revision on your calendar every week instead of saving it for the final month.
The step most aspirants skip is the review. After every mock, go through the paper and sort each mistake: didn’t know it, misread it, or guessed. That simple habit is where a lot of the improvement comes from.
AIIMS hasn’t announced NORCET 12 dates yet, so go by the official site rather than predicted schedules.
If you’d like guidance along the way, Om Nursing Academy Chandigarh runs NORCET coaching in Chandigarh with online and offline batches. There’s also a self-paced Nursing Officer recorded course covering NORCET Prelims and Mains, with PYQs and mock tests.
